Download 9.1 Now

The Benchmarking Application (BA) Download Instructions

(It is highly recommended to first uninstall previous versions by going to Start/Programs/MVI Benchmarking and Uninstall)

  1. CLICK HERE for a "print friendly" version of these instructions for reference and select the Download button
  2. Select “Save” on the File Download Window
  3. Choose Desktop as the location for the Save As window
  4. Double-click the “BA Install X.X.exe” zip file on your desktop and select Unzip and close the WinZip windows.
  5. Open the newly created “BA Install X.X” folder on your desktop and select “setup_MVI_Full_X.exe
  6. Follow the installation instructions leaving all defaults. (Note: if installed previously, uninstall the previous version first and select “REPAIR” during both the VFP9 and the MyODBC Setup process.)
  7. Select the “BA by MVIB” butterfly icon on your desktop
  8. The default ID of DEMO will allow you to run the Benchmarking Application (BA) against Demonstration data. After your first Upload is processed to the Master Data Set you may run the BA for real time comparison.

Note: The great majority of installation issues pertain to Firewall settings and user rights. Both the BA Install X.X zip file and folder may be deleted after the installation. The BA Install folder may be copied to your server to install from the server to additional workstations at no additional cost. However, the installations must always install to the local workstation default C drive.

BA Update InstructionsBA Update 9.1

(Does not require a full installation. The full Download 9.0 above also includes this update.)

  1. Select “Save” on the File Download Window
  2. Choose Desktop as the location for the Save As window
  3. Double-click the “MVI.exe” zip file on your desktop.

That is all that is required. To manually verify the update was performed you can review the date on the mvi.xls file that is saved to your c:\MVI folder as it should be 9-8-09.
